Andy Shaw

Andy is an experienced mergers and acquisitions lawyer who can help manage all aspects of the transaction process for his business clients; from pre-contract due diligence and negotiations, preparation of the contract and associated documents, through to settlement.

Andy also has particular expertise in assisting clients with their business succession needs. He commonly drafts partnership style agreements (such as shareholders’ and unitholders’ agreements), to help address the key governance issues faced by businesses, and to provide business owners with tailored and appropriate exit mechanisms. He also has significant experience drafting insurance funded buy / sell agreements.

Andy regularly presents to lawyers and other professionals on business law, including for the Law Institute of Victoria.

In addition to business law, Andy has significant experience in other legal jurisdictions including Wills and estate planning.

Outside of the law, Andy keeps busy cycling, spending time with his family and tending to an energetic Kelpie named Pepper.
